With all but one leader left to be revealed (but we all know it’s gonna be ol Papa Palpatine) we wanna take a quick minute to talk about the most important criteria when it comes to ranking the eighteen “Spirit of Rebellion” Leaders, and that’s which character is the most styling! May I present the SWU Harvest Leader Card Art Tier List!
Now while I hold the opinion that so far there’s no bad art in Unlimited there’s definitely levels of good so I’ll go through a few of my picks here, starting with Krennic.
Director Kreenic / Artist: Ario Murti
Krennic might be all the way at the bottom here but not because I think the art is bad, he just doesn’t look a lot like his Ben Mendelsohn movie counterpart. Artist Ario Murti still has plenty of great cards in the set. Shoutout to Heroic Sacrifice and Surprise Strike (Which oddly enough also features Krennic who I like the looks of better than here on his actual leader card).
I’ll let you in on a little secret here at SWU Harvest but I think Chewie is my favorite card in this set, equally for his ability and art. While I can see why not everyone is a fan of the walking carpet here I think it’s the perfect middle ground of the game having a fun, unique art style compared to previous Star Wars related games while also representing the characters we know and love!
Now let’s cheat with this last one, in the This Is The Way tier we have Hera and Leia, both beautiful cards and both by the same artist, Sandra Chlewińska! Both of these cards not only look great but they really nail that aspect I like the most about this game, where the art has it’s own unique take on characters and really leans into the comic art style it seems their going for which I love, 10/10, don’t change a thing!
Now don’t just take my mad ramblings as fact, let us know what you all think about the art in Star Wars: Unlimited!
